The school holidays are upon us once again as we race towards the finish line of the year!
Spring has certainly sprung as the warmer weather has arrived. No more winter woollies for us in the Tropical North from here on in for 2025!

Of course all of our great contributor articles from our KidsLife Experts are full of helpful advice. In this edition Dr Justin Coulson shares a very helpful guide on dealing with bullying in children and how to identify it and manage it to support your child whether they are the perpetrator or the victim.
After the very troubling national headlines recently discussing a certain individual who allegedly abused children at various daycare centres across Australia, Maggie Dent discusses the importance of protecting our children in the daycare system and steps that need to be taken to further safeguard our little ones. It is a confronting read, but one that is so important for us all to be aware of and discuss openly as parents and guardians. By discussing the topic of child abuse and understanding the warning signs and the lack of checks and balances that any one of us may witness, just maybe we as a society can tackle the problem far quicker and put measures in place to continue to enhance the safety of our children.
On a lighter note, we have the wonderful Alison Fitzsimmons discussing the importance of connecting with earth through creativity and care and the deep peace we all get from playing in nature and embracing the simple things in life.
