Cairns Young Chamber

Cairns Young Chamber

Hi there, I’m Millie! I’m incredibly excited to have stepped into the Cairns Young Chamber Chair role and need to give a huge shout out to Rosie Mitchener, my predecessor, who has done such an incredible job as Chair. We wish Rosie all the best with her move to the UK, and cannot wait to hear about all her travel and successes.

With the start of the year having flown by, we’re well into our event schedule now and have some fantastic months of events, professional development and networking opportunities ahead of us.

Welcome Amy Spiller

‘I am a finance broker at Astute Finance, specialising in personal and business lending. We often get asked what’s the difference between a mortgage broker and a finance broker and as finance broker, we basically get to fund everything but a home, so cars, marine, machinery, aircraft, anything and everything!!

I started in 2018 and became a fully fledged finance broker in 2019 and absolutely love helping my clients achieve their goals!

In my free time, my husband and I (along with our kelpie Evie) love to go camping and exploring FNQ or lazing around at home’.

Fantastic Social Lawn Bowls Event

With 45 attendees to our April Social Event at Edge Hill Bowls Club, we were absolutely thrilled to see such a great turn out and so many new faces! The Bowls Club was the perfect relaxed atmosphere for everyone to mingle, enjoy a few drinks, pizza and play some bowls, all while networking and making new connections.

Pathway to Property: Panel Event
Our Property Panel with James Harding from Harding Property Law, David Murphy from Ray White Cairns and Beaches, and Liam Tiernan CEO of Cairns Bank was a fantastic morning. We’re incredibly grateful to have these experts in their fields provide valuable information for a lot of our young professionals as they navigate one of their biggest moves in life: buying a property.
