- What’s the name of your business and what do you sell?
My Business is Yarn & Make. I sell handmade crochet toys and dolls.
- What made you want to start your business?
I started crocheting three years ago and soon realised I enjoy making amigurumi. I began making toys for friends and family, which led to requests for more. I recognised the demand for handmade, unique items, and I wanted to be able to share my passion and skills with others.
- What do you love most about running your own business?
I can make money from my hobby while still being a student. It gives me a sense of accomplishment when people enjoy my creations. I get to focus on producing what I enjoy, set my prices, and choose when I want to work.
- What’s one thing you learned or enjoyed at the KidsLife Expo?
The KidsLife expo is a great opportunity to showcase local businesses and to get direct interaction with customers. It helps me understand the niche market and reflect on my business to make it better.
