We are already looking forward to Easter preparations on the horizon … is it just me or is this year going faster than last year? …

Whether time is speeding up or we’re all just having too much fun to realise the time flying by, this is the perfect time of year to be grateful for where we live. We are so lucky to be living in Far North Queensland, a destination full of natural beauty, but also bucking the national trends on so many fronts – population growth, construction activity, low unemployment, low rental vacancies and solid real estate sales and property prices. While many other states in our great nation are experiencing decline, we are seeing the absolute opposite and the month on month stats for our region continue to be strong.

By the end of 2023 we will have seen almost 100 cruise ships arriving in our Cairns port alone. To think how fast we have rebounded out of the gates post COVID, it’s so gratifying to see. Businesses are once again bustling, tourism numbers are on the increase, and we have a real estate and construction sector heaving. According to local economists, there is so much pent up demand for our piece of paradise, that there are no signs of significant slowing on the horizon for us.

When once upon a time our remoteness was our disadvantage, it has now become our point of difference and what is attracting people to our region.

And I mean who wouldn’t want to live here? We are spoilt for choice when it comes to stunning destinations to get amongst nature. It’s the very thing attracting people from all over Australia and the world to take their vows and wed their loved ones.
