Palms Supermarket and Cafe Veivers have opened to rave reviews in the beachside suburb.
The supermarket and cafe have proven to be extremely popular since opening their doors in April – for their convenience, friendly staff, fresh produce and delicious coffee and ice cream.
Customers are thrilled about the new establishment, with comments on social media praising their friendly staff, delicious coffee and generous ice cream scoops. Reviewers promised a return visit and recommendations to their friends.
The supermarket and cafe are becoming increasingly popular and a go-to place for locals and tourists alike, from shopping for the everyday essentials to a hangout place for a casual coffee and a bite to eat.
Owner Yadwinder Manesh said the new premises on the corner of Veivers Rd and Triton St is designed to cater to both locals and tourists and offer them the convenience of a one-stop shop with a wide range of local produce from Far North Queensland suppliers including Mungalli Milk, Baked on Red Hill, The Peanut Project, Global Gourmet Yoghurt as well as local Kombucha, juices and fruit and vegetables.
Yadwinder and his wife Manju are eagerly working with local businesses to incorporate additional products in both the supermarket and the cafe in the near future.
“Our vision is to make this supermarket and cafe one of the standouts in Australia fit for our beautiful beach,” Yadwinder said.
Popular drawcards at Cafe Veivers include premium brands Prana chai and Vittoria coffee, which is very smooth with just the right amount of bitterness.
The cafe offers the ideal location to enjoy locally made cakes, smoothies, juices, milkshakes, pies, sausage rolls, croissants and sandwiches.
Palm Cove is the perfect spot for cooling down with delicious ice cream – indulge in flavours such as butterscotch or mint choc chip.
Yadwinder said his barista staff had more than 30 years’ experience between them and all live in the beautiful northern beaches.
“We have a really passionate crew,” he said.
“They’re friendly, helpful and they enjoy what they do.
“Response from locals has been great. Customers love our coffee and the supermarket and the cafe have been a great addition to Palm Cove.
“I love the beach, it has a good vibe and a great community spirit.”
In line with the beautification of the Palm Cove area, the supermarket features an eye-catching mural painted by local artist Atlantis Wade Lewis.
